101 young entrepreneurs enter the Future Makers incubator

The 4th edition of the Future Makers incubator offers financial support of 20.000 euros, incubation, international mentorship and investment funds pitches for 35 teams from Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, and Serbia. 

The 101 Future Makers are founders of 35 startups selected in Future Makers 2021, with businesses in technology (23%), sustainability (14%), education (14%), travel & food (14%), marketplace (9%), mental health (6%), social (6%) and fintech (3%). Among the selected startups - 3D printing houses using natural and recycled materials, wearable IoT device for blind swimmers, ed-tech solution for children to use video conference systems independently, instant wear fire protection suit for civilians, VR solutions for therapists to help people suffering from depression, anxiety, and phobias or data and AI to predict social dynamics.

Participants receive mentorship from experts and entrepreneurs from 15 countries, over 30 hours of business, tech, and foresight workshops, access to experts in relevant industries, 3 years of membership in the global education & networking platform geneSIS, pitches in front of CEE investment funds, and membership in the international community Futures Space.

The 35 teams will have an opportunity to present their ideas in front of the Future Makers jury on November 17 for awards of up to 20.000 euro, during Future Summit - a global event dedicated to future trends taking place during November 15-21.

Among the previous winners of Future Makers - Polymore (AI algorithm to detect plastic waste), ART Link (AR solution for artists), Synovious (smart prosthetics), CardioMedive (medical device to analyze essential parameters), EcoTree (waste management platform), I’m Fine (mental health app) or Veltra (bamboo bicycles).

Future Makers is organized by Social Innovation Solutions and co-organized by Global Shapers Bucharest Hub with the support of Raiffeisen Bank și Enel România, together with investment funds Roca X, Smart Capital, Tilia Ventures, and V7 Capital.
